CASE STUDY: Streaming success for emerging artist
Emerging singer/songwriter Straalen releasing his single Help required a campaign that primarily focused on fan acquisition, channel growth, profile building and driving all new fans to listen to the single on Spotify and other streaming services.
The strategy
Consistent high-level content across all of Straalen’s social media channels with a combination of posts about his music and his personal life. We ran a series of ad sets aimed at his target audience and fans of similar artists. These ads resulted in huge spikes in channel growth from authentic engaged fans of his music.
With a strong focus on Spotify we set up a social sharing competition that encouraged fans to share the video of Help on their own socials, and sign up to his mailing list to go into the draw to win a personalized video message from Straalen and prize pack.
We created and shared several Spotify playlists curated by Straalen to drive fans to listen to his song, build awareness and increase his followers on the platform.
Some juicy stats
Straalen celebrated some huge milestones while working with Jaden Digital, including the achievement of 150,000 Spotify streams of the single Help (now almost 200k). He also reached 10,000 likes on Facebook and clocked 1 million total plays on Spotify.
We also delivered strong growth and engagement results on Straalen’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts, including a 20% average month-on-month growth across all platforms and 700,000 YouTube views throughout the campaign.
