#DREAMTEAM: Stella Hobbs, Account Director

Ladies and Gentlemen, let us introduce the keyed-in Kiwi, the account director with the most, Jaden Digital’s digital account director, Ms Stella Hobbs.

Stella has a wealth of marketing experience that began back in her homeland of New Zealand, kicking off with an internship with BurgerFuel many moons ago where she fell in love with bolstering brands.

After unearthing her interest in marketing Stella went on to work with international brands like Adidas, Wendys Burgers and AIG. It was her experience working across TV and film shoots, most notably a documentary on legendary NZ rugby player Richie McCaw, that made her realise that her real marketing passion lied within the world of entertainment.

Stella bravely moved in the freelance realm, acting as Artist Liaison for bands and music festivals in New Zealand before she had the bright idea to jump over the ditch and into Australia’s loving arms.

You can see Stella coming from a mile off thanks to her infectious smile and enthusiastic demeanour. It’s all or nothing with Stella, with each new client that she welcomes into her world she makes their vision her vision and will stop at nothing until it’s a reality.

The living proof of having it all, Stella is warm, bubbly, strong and powerful all in one sentence. An amazing digital account manager and a ‘90s hip hop fan to boot, Stella is an integral part of the Jaden Digital ecosystem.

Get a taste of her music choices, with ’11 songs to listen to while working’, as chosen by Stella.

Do you consider yourself to be a bit of a chef at home? Either way, what’s your best dish?

Yes! I LOVE to cook. I love food, and it turns out often you must cook in order to actually survive (funny that) and this has led me to love to cook. I can do a damn good pasta and I also love a middle eastern feast (think eggplant, haloumi, lentils, yoghurt, cauliflower, spices) mmmm I’m starving.

Are you a night owl or early bird, and what do you love about being the one you are?

Good question, I don’t really know… I am a night owl during the working week and struggle in the mornings without coffee and then in the weekend I can’t sleep in to save my life. So who knows really, what do I love? Coffee.

If you were to create your own ultimate box of pick ’n’ mix chocolate bars (ie Favourites, Celebrations etc), which 10 chocolates would you include, and in which order?

Wow, great question. Here we go from top to bottom: Bounty, Caramello Koala (is that allowed? I’m making it a thing if not), Picnic, Maltesers, Snickers, Galaxy, Milky Way, Twix, Crunchie, Boost.

You’ve been given return flights to anywhere in the world – where do you go and why?

Oh! What time of year is it? I can go to America anytime of year. I love the USA, the food, people watching and parties are 10/10. However, if it’s summer, I could be swayed to Greece and Italy very easily, I love me a good bronzed tan.

Describe your life using Instagram filter names?

IG Story filters or post filters? If we’re going post – Hudson all day baby, because New York has the Hudson River and I LOVE NEW YORK. IG Story Filters – Oslo, It gives me a good glow and my life is glowing xoxo

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

Biggie Hypnotize / 50 Cent In Da Club / G Unit Hate It Or Love It

What is your usual Saturday morning routine?

COFFEE. Followed by another coffee. I love the markets at Potts Point, they do these delicious pastries filled with goodness so you’ll find me there a lot of the time.

The Blue Pill or the Red Pill?

I’m going to say Blue.

What’s one of your proudest achievements?

Ooooh. Moving to Australia all on my own – twice! Taking a chance on myself in this industry and watching it pay off. Oh and I recently spoke on an APRA panel with the amazing Mardi Caught about digital marketing, pretty proud of that.

If you were a vegetable, what type of vegetable would you be?

Is cheese a vegetable? Can I be haloumi? Just kidding, bacon obviously.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know?

That dogs can’t look up (Watch Shaun of the Dead if you need any clarification)

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?

Making 90’s and early 2000 hip hop banger playlists. And then rapping them.

Pineapple on pizza?

No, but I mean how hungry am I at the time because if a hawaiian pizza comes out and I am starving then anything is possible.
